Download the template and instructions for these DIY Holiday Place Cards designed to be used with leftover paint from our Holiday Forest Animals Banner Kit. If you don’t have paint from this kit, feel free to use other paint colors you have on hand. These holiday place cards make for a great afternoon DIY activity for adults and kids alike and just in time for Thanksgiving! It’s an easy project that anyone can do, just follow the directions below and you’ll be on your way to making your holiday table more personalized for your guests!

YOU'LL NEED

  • Leftover Paint - we used leftover paint from the Holiday Forest Animals Banner Kit, but feel free to use any paint combination you have on hand!
  • Paint Brushes - a fine-tip brush works best for this project because the areas to paint are small and detailed.
  • Cup of water
  • Rag or towel
  • Printer
  • 8.5 x 11 Card Stock
  • Scissors
  • Pen

INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1:
Print the Holiday Place Card Template (link above) on 8.5 x 11 white card stock

Step 2: Follow the numbers to fill in the zones with the corresponding paint color. Use light coats and even out ridges with your brush.

  • If you’re using your own paint, make sure to assign a number for each color to make it easy to follow the numbered guide.

Step 3: Paint a second coat as needed.

Step 4: After the paint is dry, cut along the solid gray line and fold your place cards along the dashed gray line.

Step 5: Use a fine-tip pen to handwrite the names of your guests in the white space on each place card.

Step 6: Place your finished cards at your guests’ place settings at your holiday table!

we’d love to see your finished Holiday Place Cards
